The general overseer said with the increasing incidents of fraud under the name of pastoring, must stop henceforth or the perpetrators will face the full wrath of God
Pastor E.A Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has given a stern warning to fraudulent pastors. The general overseer said with the increasing incidents of fraud under the name of pastoring, whether or not it was in the RCCG fold, must stop henceforth or the perpetrators will face the full wrath of God, Daily Post reports.
The warning was reportedly contained in a letter issued to all pastors indicted in corruption cases in the church. He warned pastors to be more forthright and honest in their handling of church finances. Pastor Adeboye charged the erring pastors “to be more responsible to their congregation by taking care of those in need while instructing the branch heads to have a petty cash book, asset register, income analysis and bank book to serve as a quality audit of the ministry’s account book.”
Meanwhile, Pastor Adeboye, has begged youths of the RCCG church to stop uploading his videos or quoting him on social media. Daddy G. O as he is fondly called said this in order for him to be spared the torrents of backlash from such uploaded posts attracted from millions of social media users. This is coming after the pastor received serious backlash over his counsel to young men and women concerning marriage.
