The suspected robbers, Akeem Dauda and Mojeed Yusuf, reportedly tied their victim’s hands and gagged him, while the robbery lasted on Sunday.
The Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the robbers invaded the 76-year-old catholic priest’s residence on Federal Housing Estate, Ikoto, Ijebu Ode, and stole three laptops, a plasma television set, two mobile phones, two passports, N40,000 and E255.
The cleric’s Toyota Camry with number plate, EKY 483 DE, was also stolen by the robbers.
Oyeyemi, an Assistant Superintendent of Police, said, “Our men at Obada Oko got information that some people wanted to sell a car suspected to have been stolen.
“Policemen went there and the two robbers were arrested, while the stolen car was recovered.”

Narrating his ordeal in the hands of the robbers, Spagnolo, said he had gone for the morning Mass and returned to his residence to meet the robbers ransacking the rooms.
He said one of the robbers pointed a gun at him, adding that the robbers took everything in his house.
